Provides technical and managerial leadership in establishing goals and priorities and in the overall management of the Company's information systems applications and systems development.. This position ensures continuity and alignment of the Company's business and clinical information systems direction and plans with strategic plans, facility needs, and participates in architecting the corporation's information systems infrastructure and in the development of guidelines, procedures, and standards.



  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in information systems or a related field. An advanced degree in information systems, business, planning, or related field is a plus
  • Three years of experience in information systems applications and development
  • Three years managerial experience including budgeting, maintaining policies and database analysis
  • Experience in team leadership and direct supervision
  • Experience creating and leading communications with direct reports, senior leaders, business partners, vendors to ensure collaboration, efficiency, and service excellence
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance.
  • Ability to work unsupervised exercising a high degree of discretion and independent judgment.
  • A thorough knowledge and understanding of current and emerging business and clinical applications technology
  • Mature understanding of information systems application support processes and workflow
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

  • Responsible for technical and managerial leadership in establishing goals and priorities and in the overall management of information systems applications, networks, and support and services within the division.
  • Meets with multi-level leadership teams, as needed, to align strategy, services, and coordinate implementation activities.
  • Responsible for personnel management, performance reviews, competency development, and coaching of staff.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with business operations, corporate leaders, and vendors.
  • Participates in resource planning and allocates resources to meet goals of the clinical area, corporate goals and business priorities.
  • Organizes, plans, assigns, and monitors completion of work.
  • Participates in the development of corporate information systems standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures that the design and use of applications and systems adhere to established policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Leads analysis of organizational needs for development and implementation of applications and systems; interfaces with users to ensure they are developed which meet their business specifications.
  • Establishes and manages internal service level agreements and ensures external service level agreements with vendors are met.
  • Assists in the development of the CIT budget and develops project cost estimates for departments and business units.
  • Ensures that service resources are assigned for the timely resolution of information systems incidents and requests.
  • Works with subject matter experts and services resources and the Service Desk in managing resolution of information systems incidents and requests.
  • Creates an environment that encourages information sharing, team-based resolutions, cross-training, and process improvement within the area and across organizational boundaries.
  • Grows the support capabilities for business and clinical information systems throughout the Company.
  • Works with Business Analysts, Clinical Analysts, Super User/Core Team Members, Physicians, and others to implement the corporate plan for information systems standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization.
  • Promotes information systems security and patient confidentiality and helps ensure compliance.
  • Coordinates the sharing of best practice models, and policies & procedures related to information systems. Participates in activities to improve departmental and organizational performance.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with outside vendors of IT products, professional organizations, contract employees, co-ops, external auditors, and consultants.
  • Builds strong relationships with business and clinical users groups across the organization, and managers and directors.
  • Participates in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned.
